MOT Test
An MOT test is a legal requirement for all cars over 3 years old. The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards and our friendly and highly experienced team is ready to help you do just that, so that you have peace of mind knowing that your car remains legal and roadworthy at the time of the test. Please note that a certificate only guarantees road-worthiness at the time of issue even though the certificate is valid for a year. SMT Auto Services’ test centre is approved by the Government appointed Vehicle Operator Services Agency (VOSA) and all MOT tests are completed by qualified MOT testers.

SMT Auto services MOT vehicles ranging from Cars through to Large Vans up to and including 3500kg (MOT classes 4, 5 & 7). The MOT test can be done up to 30 days before its due date, so please feel free to book early without losing any time on your certificate. In light that your vehicle fails the MOT test, we will get you mobile without further unnecessary delay.
If you are happy for us to do so, we can also put you onto our MOT reminder system database. This means that one month before your next MOT is due you will be sent an MOT Reminder.
